Our Installation Process
We believe the secret to a beautiful, long-lasting turf installation is in the preparation. A properly built base is what separates a great job from one that fails in a few years.
1. Site Evaluation & Planning
We begin with a thorough on-site assessment of your yard, including soil type, drainage, slope, and sun exposure. This allows us to design the best possible solution for your specific property.
2. Base Preparation
We remove the existing grass and soil to the proper depth. Then we install a high-quality base using decomposed granite (crushed granite). This material is packed down tightly in multiple layers using heavy compaction equipment.
3. Base Compaction & Stabilization
Proper compaction is key to longevity. We compact the decomposed granite base to ensure a quality install. A well-packed base prevents settling, puddling, and wrinkling of the turf over time — the most common reasons for premature failure.
4. Turf Installation & Finishing
Once the base is perfectly level and compacted, we lay high-quality artificial turf, cut it to fit precisely, and secure it with perimeter nails and seaming tape. We then brush the fibers upright and add infill where needed for a natural look and feel.
